They often say ‘beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.’ Australian photographer Peter Adams-Shawn proves the adage true.
Capturing the reflections of his subject in another one’s eye, he has been creating what he calls eyescapes since 2011. He took to snapping wedding eyescapes since 2014- toying with reflections of pivotal moments from the wedding as seen through the eyes of another, literally!

His work is unbelievably gorgeous and detailed and he has often been held in suspicion of using Photoshop to tweak his images. However, his work does not consist of composites and is 100% real. In fact, the mistake is so common that the International Loupe Awards judge, himself, mistook his work for a composite and later, offered an apology.

The talented photographer claims that his best snaps are the ones where the primary subject is smiling.
“This relaxes the shot, brings natural creases in the eyes, and even this close, you can tell the subject is smiling,” says Adams-Shawn.
