If the name doesn’t get current pumping through your body, a glimpse sure will. Yes, we are talking of the hot hunk Vidyut Jamwal, who stole the ground from beneath all the girls of the nation with his fabulous debut in Force. Although the criminally hot and sexy lad played a negative character in the movie, his onscreen persona, up-to-the-mark acting skills, and his ooh-so-chiseled physique got him into the ‘secret fantasy books’ of all the girls of the nation.
Here’s a look into how he maintains that ohh-so-hot-body I can vouch makes you bite your lip 😉

Of course, it is no revelation that a carefully delineated diet plan and rigid workout regimen is behind the stunning body that melts your insides! But want to know the billion-dollar truth behind his workout regimen??
He only hits the gym four days a week.
Yes, you read that right. He hits the gym four days a week, and that too only for strength training. His gym workouts mostly focus on his shoulder and legs. And yet he trains daily for 6-8 hours.
“In what??” – That’s the question bursting through your brain, right?
Here’s the answer:
He practices a unique mix of martial arts and has devised his own methodology of physical training. Free from the shackles of a ‘tried-and-tested’ formula for physical fitness, the young hero propels himself on the path of fitness through a self-driven engine of motivation, discipline, and perseverance. His martial arts combination comprises of the following:

- Kalaripayattu: Vidyut maintains that this art is the building block of his entire fitness training. He started to practice this art when he was merely three and hasn’t gone a day without the practice. Claimed to be the mother of all martial art forms in the world, this martial art is a 3000-year-old art form that is practiced extensively in Kerala. Hithertofore a neglected and underestimated art form, Vidyut’s constant emphasis on how he owes his ‘look’ to the art form has brought ‘kalaripayattu’ to the forefront.
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: One of the most intensive forms of martial arts existing today, this form is a combat sport that focuses on ground grappling technique. The form is extensively used in Mixed Martial Arts and is the reason why we saw Vidyut perform those daredevil stunts in Commando with remarkable ease!
- Gymnastics: Another reason why you’d know why you were left gaping at those stunts that Vidyut performed in Commando! He has been a gymnast since his teenage years and varies the elements ever so often for versatility, interest, and enhanced flexibility.
- Parkour: Parkour is the holistic training imparted to military personnel to train them to move swiftly and efficiently through the battleground, overcoming the various obstacles that mark their way. The training equips one with many vital skills such as using the objects on the way to propel/thrust the body forward by running, jumping, climbing, rolling, hanging, swinging, vaulting, quadruped movements and several moves, being acutely alert of the environment.
His gym workout regimen consists of the following:

And since it has been iterated and re-iterated ever so often that body building is 20% physical training and 80% nutrition, it is but a blatant fact that one cannot achieve the body one desires without taking in proper nutrition. Vidyut is a vegetarian by choice and eats six small meals a day. His diet consists of:
- A bowl of muesli before hitting the gym
- Idlis for breakfast
- Dal, veggies, and roti for lunch
- His evening snack is one plate upma
- For dinner he prefers some veggies and roti
- He also eats a lot of seasonal fruits. Vidyut take a protein shake after each workout session and relies heavily on tofu for his protein intake
Also, Vidyut believes in discipline when it comes to dietary intake. He is a non-smoker, avoids aerated drinks, and does not attend late night parties.
For Vidyut, body sculpting is all about discipline and dedication. He believes that being healthy is a choice one has to commit to and work hard to attain.
Well, when we look at your body which evinces those words faster than the speed of light, we can only nod our heads in agreement and gape, Vidyut!! 😉
