Not every movie gets us the epic Bollywood romances of our dreams. Well, fellows, I understand how even thinking about these titles bring back the painful memories (trust me, I had to go through it too!), but believe me when I say that the criticism afterwards will be awfully worth it! So I say, let’s just have a face off and get this burden of grudges off already.

This tops my list as a pathetic excuse for a movie, let alone a Bollywood romance. Look as hard as you can, but there is no romance to be found in the story and top that with what-were-they-smoking acting of the beloved Kapoor threesome and you have the puke-worthy recipe ready! Well done!

Romance…really? Time travel…you have got to be kidding me! Had they tagged it under comedy there would still have been some hope for the movie, but sadly, it makes you endure immature futuristic grounds of the story, thinking that some glamour from Priyanka would make it up to the viewers. Well guess what, it didn’t.

‘Disaster’ is the one word definition for this movie. It shows the fetish of an obsessed girl looking for her dreamy-movie thrills in her real life. All I have to say that such a loud portrayal won it the overacting of the decade award. Well, in my books! #JustForTheRecord
4. Veer

Well, sorry Salman, but even the ‘Khan’ name could not do the trick this time. The movie plays its sad long odds with a love story flipping in the timeline. It’s set against a royal backdrop but has a pauper-ish execution and a poor storyline lacking any engaging romance. If anything, the audiences who went to watch it sure qualified as ‘veer!’
5. What’s Your Rashee

You’ll be lucky if you survive the torturous 3 hours and 33 minutes long stretch of this movie without ripping your head off. The idea of romance here is finding your one true love after trying twelve different (yet similar) girls, yikes! Romantic? No! That’s just freaking crazy!
6. Roy

Kya socha tha aur kya paaya! I feel sorry for the Bollywood loving audience to expect to read any worthwhile romance in there. Keeping up with the parallel scenarios was complicated enough to rule out searching for any romance at all!
7. Damadamm!

This movie with a cheating-love line is a sheer torture in the name of romance. And let’s just face it, we all love him for the fantastic up-beat music, but if you don’t stop with these painful movie experiments already, our atheism for Bollywood romance is going to worsen further Mr. Reshammiya.
8. Chashme Baddoor

Three friends wooing the same hot girl- check, the neighbour cliché-check, a brotherly quest for the love- check. In short, this movie is a perfect Bolly-romance ruin that’ll make those scary demons haunt you long after the closing credits have rolled off!!
9. Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela

Hang on, yet another Romeo-Juliet take? Ouch! Didn’t Ishaqzaade do the trick for us already? Did you really think dipping the same romance in passion and a different backdrop would work, Mr.Bhansali? Well, it might have roped in the wads- but we hated it! The dandruff dance included!
10. Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Ah, no, the Yash Raj formula and Rahman’s magical music too couldn’t save this one!
You’re probably frowning over me for hitting this one, but dude, how else to finish this list better than with a colossal disappointment like this? Although- SRK, we love you!

So, there- once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate all the ancient rage we still hold for the so-called romantic movies that ruined our idea of epic Bollywood romance forever. And just after you are done taking these down with rotten tomatoes and eggs, may these terrible disasters rest in a romantic peace! 😛
