You are brave.

You are brave for loving people who cannot love you the way you deserve to be loved. You are brave because even though they give you a hundred reasons to leave, you cling to the ONE reason to stay. You are brave because despite what people tell you about your stupidity, you aren’t dumb just because you fell for that guy. You are brave because love, as you know it, isn’t for cowards at all.
You are brave for giving away your heart and soul on a platter even when the people you offer it to do not have the appetite or the taste for it. You are brave for entrusting them with the keys to your life, even when they cannot hold the door to their soul open for you. You are brave for investing your moments in them when they can only offer consolatory tokens of their time to you.

You are brave for your audacity to stay. You are brave to hold their hand knowing that they’d let go, sooner or later. You are brave to love someone more and more when they can only love you less. You are brave to give so much more than you get and yet, continue to give more. You are brave for vesting in them the power to hurt you, but never expecting them to heal the same wounds.

You are brave for loving the wrong people, and yet, offering your whole, stitched up heart again. You are brave because no matter how damaged you are, you believe in the power of love, you believe in choosing to forgive, forget, learn and move ahead. You are brave because you HOPE. You hope for people to see your magic, to see the novelty of the raw emotion that throbs inside your chest, the feeling that flows in your veins and the light that gleams through your eyes. You are brave because you choose to shower your light on people who wouldn’t see you shine, even if they were drowned by darkness.

You are brave because you hand out the key to your heart, even when you know he wouldn’t stay long. You are brave because you kiss him with the ardor of a ‘forever’ even when he’s looking at you and seeing someone good ‘for the moment.’ You are brave to extend this effort despite being taken for granted, beyond limits.
You are brave because you KNOW a million reasons why the two of you shall never be. And yet, you go to bed each night, clinging with every remaining ounce of strength to the hope of a ‘possible WE.’

You are brave because there is something admirable about loving despite not being loved back, not the way you should. And while there is something admirable, spectacular and brave about that right there, it is also the most painful thing there ever can be. Yet, you brave the pain- because love, as you know it, is all about loving. And loving is never easy.
