In 2011, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, met on the sets of their movie The Rum Diary. Not long after that, the couple started dating, 2012 to be precise, and eventually even got engaged in January 2014. In March 2014, it was widely known that the couple had celebrated their impending nuptials at an engagement party which was held at The Carondelet House in Los Angeles. Celebrities slash friends who were in attendance at the party include Mandy Moore, Marilyn Manson, and Steven Tyler.

Then, just a couple months ago, there was the infamous drunk incident, where Johnny Depp appeared drunk at the Hollywood Awards ceremony. He came on stage to honor Shep Gordon, and was barely able to stand up straight. He stammered and slurred through his speech to honor Gordon, who is the subject of a documentary made by actor Mike Myers, called ‘Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon.’ Before the channel CBS cut his slurred speech off, he said, “It’s just one of those nights.”
While fans and haters alike took to Twitter to express their opinions about Depp’s bizarre behavior, they were in consensus when they said the actor was simply ‘wasted.’ And his fiancée Amber Heard, wasn’t thrilled about it either. A source was quoted as saying,
“Amber couldn’t believe he had made such a fool out of himself. This reflects really badly on her, and she’s not happy about it.”
Well, who wouldn’t be?

Whatever made him act so bizarrely, his weird behavior soon started the rumor mills going a mile a minute with speculations that not everything was alright in paradise. That his relationship with Amber Heard was on the rocks. Although the rumors subsided over time, it was reported early last week, that ‘the couple is in a good place,’ and that they’re planning to wed this coming weekend! Guess, the rumors were just that – rumors.
Reports even elaborated on the kind of ceremony the couple would have and also the location of the ceremony. Apparently, the couple is all set to get hitched at Depp’s private island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, in the Bahamas, with the ceremony itself being very simple. There were even reports that the couple’s guests would be made to spend the night before the ceremony on his yacht, since there wasn’t enough room for all of the guests on the island itself.

Although the ceremony is to take place this coming weekend, according to reports, Johnny, 51, and Amber, 28, have already gotten married this past Tuesday, February 3rd, in their Los Angeles home in a private ceremony. The reason for this move is said to be legal.
According to reports, there will be about 50 guests at the island ceremony, including Depp’s ex-partner Vanessa Pardis, with whom he split after 14 years together, their children Lily-Rose, 15, and Jack, 12.

While this is the first marriage for Heard, it would be Depp’s second time at the altar, who was previously married to Lori Anne Wilson from 1983 to 1986.
And what is so special about this upcoming weekend for their wedding, you wonder? Nothing special; it’s just practicality. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor and the Magic Mike XXL actress had to zero in on a date that fit their busy schedules. A source was quoted as saying,
“She’s filming a movie in London, and he’s getting ready to film the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ in Australia. So this is the only time that everyone could get together.”
Very practical, indeed.
We wish the newlyweds all the happiness and love. Congratulations to you both!
