Day 19: Scorched
I would let this child set me on fire. As rightfully pointed out in the comments, this character deserves a Disney movie of her own. God knows we need some good news. I would pay through my nose to watch it a hundred times.
Day 20: Breakable
Minimalist artwork is so rich in meaning. The line work in this illustration is so precise, clean, and innovative. We are all trying to balance a plethora of things all by ourselves, hoping to every god there is, that we do not topple over.
Day 21: Drain
The bisexual radar is high on this one. I never thought that an illustration could combine myth, seduction, and murder, so well. It also returns to vampires the high status that they lost with Twilight.
Day 22: Expensive
The little things, are the ones that matter most. They are expensive because they cannot be bought. When I cradle a kitty cat in my palm, I feel undeserving but full at last.
Day 23: Muddy
This illustration is the epitome of power. I imagine this as a mother, cradling her child, out to seek vengeance, and trying her best to protect the baby in her arms. It speaks volumes about the superpowers that a mother has.
Day 24: Chop
The bewilderment on the child’s face is so similar to toddlers watching their parents cut vegetables. I was fascinated with the idea of slicing tomatoes, as a child. Then I grew up, actually got the chance to cut vegetables, and realized, to my disappointment, that tomatoes squish too easy.
Day 25: Prickly
Tell me why am I sexually attracted to most men in the mangas that I read?
Day 26: Stretch
This reminds me of Dr Strange, and how he went from being an arrogant non-believer, to aligning chakras perfectly. It also reminds me of The Ancient One, and how you should never love Marvel characters, because they all die.
Day 27: Thunder
Sometimes, artists will spring illustrations on you, that speak to your inner turmoil. For weeks before this sketch surfaced, I had been thinking of thunderstorms, and driving into it in a small red truck.
