Commitment is not everyone’s cup of tea. And it is good that some people say that upfront instead of just playing with you, right? Commitment can be scary, and just the word, sends a chill down the spine of many people. However, in some folks the fear quotient is really high. Let’s find out who these people are, based on their zodiac signs.

If you are a commitment lover, a religious monogamist, like moi, then it can be a little difficult to understand people who find it real hard to commit to someone, commit to a relationship. Nonetheless, it is necessary you know about these people whose priorities do not match with yours, so that you don’t end up surprised if you do fall in love with the.
On one hand, there are some people who get into adult relationships so quickly and do everything in their power to make it work. They are willing to put in the effort, put in the time, and yet, to them it is effortless to be in a relationship. On the other hand, there are folks who think dating should be fun and once the dagger of commitment hangs on their head, they feel all the fun has died out. Of course, the use of the metaphor dagger should tell you how scared these people are of commitment!

Zodiac signs with the motto: I am not looking for a relationship right now
Some zodiac signs are just not ready to commit. We see so many people get married when they are really young, and yet have a successful married life; on the contrary, there are people who just cannot get themselves to say those three word, leave alone popping the big question. So what makes them different? The answer lies with the stars, or rather the fault in them. 😉
Putting a tick on the box that says “committed” or “in a relationship” is not a priority for some zodiac signs. The people who belong to these signs, do not have much control over how they feel about marriage or a serious relationship. They are commitment phobes because their stars are aligned a particular way. These people were just not born to commit to someone. That explains why they look at the word commitment as a dagger. Of course there are exceptions to the rule. There are people who belong to a commitment-phobic zodiac sign and yet love committing to their partners. However, it is rare. The same is true for people who belong to a commitment-loving zodiac sign, and fail to understand the logic behind vows.
Leaving out these exceptions, we will be discussing the general trends that zodiac signs follow when it comes to commitment. We will be discussing the signs that fail to commit. There are 5 of them, who suck at serious relationships. Let’s find out which ones we are talking about.
Now not being a commitment-lover is not a good thing or a bad thing. It is just the way it is. The only thing that one expects of you is that you be upfront about yourself when in a relationship. Tell the person you are dating or wanting to date that you believe or do not believe in relationships. If you think you can work on this, then tell them that. if you think this is who you are, and you cannot change this about yourself for anyone, then be honest about that too.
If you just want to meet a bunch of people, have the best time of your life, but go home alone and sleep in your bed alone (I didn’t say sex!), then that is your choice. That is who you are. Simple!
If you think there is a reason behind your commitment phobia (apart from the fact that you cannot commit), then maybe you can work on it. It could be because of fear or because of your past experiences. No matter what, remember that with the right person, you can change the way you look at relationships; you can to come to believe that though love binds you, it also sets you free. As Madeleine L’Engle puts it,
“If we commit ourselves to one person for life, this is not, as many people think, a rejection of freedom; rather, it demands the courage to move into all the risks of freedom, and the risk of love which is permanent; into that love which is not possession but participation.”

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

The Bull is scared to death when it comes to commitment. They just cannot settle down with someone because they have this illogical fear of missing out. They want to live young for a long time!
A Taurean feels bogged down by commitment because responsibility scares them. This does not mean that they would rather sleep around. However, it takes them a lot of time to be ready to say “yes”.
To be answerable to someone isn’t a Taurus’ idea of fun, and we couldn’t blame them, could we!?

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

A Virgo is someone who is very finicky about everything. It is all the details for them. This makes them hard to please. No one passes their “test”, and so they cannot bring themselves to commit to someone they are not impressed with. Human flaws do not attract them the way it attracts a Scorpio.
Also, a Virgo focuses more on the negatives in the other person than the positives. As a result, they self-destruct the relationship. Only later do they realize that there will be no one who will tick all the boxes on their checklist!
Libra (September 23 – October 22)

This might sound a little ironical considering how Libras hate being alone. These folks will go all out to find the person with whom they can spend the rest of their days; however, we they do find this person, they cannot bring themselves to hand over their freedom. Total cliché, no?!
These people need to be totally sure that the person they are committing to, won’t want to become the boss of them. And since they cannot get this assurance in writing (!), they fail to be able to commit.
So, if you are expecting your Libra to take the plunge and immediately call you their partner, just because they swam the dead sea and climbed the Everest in their quest to find you, then you are in for a heart break!
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

The Sag; this should not be a surprise, considering how much people of this zodiac sign love their freedom. To them, a relationship is a way to get yourself grounded for life. And with wings of fire, wings meant for the sky, these people cannot see themselves in a cage, on display.
As soon as they start feeling trapped in a relationship; as soon as they smell something fishy, they will run for their lives. Commitment is just not how they do relationships. A relationship is good for them as long as it helps them grow, but as soon as it tries to sit on their capes, woosh! They are gone.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

The Fish wants to be committed, but just can’t. This is because they are very hard to please. Their expectations from their partner is extremely high. They want the relationship to be like in the movies, and we know exactly how that ends.
So though these folks want to be in a serious relationship, they are usually disappointed by what their partners or potential partners have offered them. Their dreamlike expectations make it hard for them to exchange vows with someone.
