Ruing the fact that you have to attend a club night or a music festival with friends or worse, alone? Do you find it awkward to make a conversation with someone you don’t have anything in common with? Are you looking to connect with someone with whom you share at least one common interest? Enter Glance dating app, a Dutch startup, exclusively for music festivals!
Glance dating app works much like the popular albeit unofficial hookup app Tinder, in that you need to swipe right to like someone and left to pass someone over. But the new dating app has a different parameter to connect and match people – Glance targets music lovers. Once you log in to the app, you can view all the different festivals across the world, and you can choose which ones you’ll be attending. And once the festivals have been selected, the app matches you up with potential connections who have selected the same festivals as you.

With the official slogan, ‘Glance before you dance,’ Glance dating app hopes to bring music as a commonality to build a relationship on. Speaking about the app, its designer Jeron Jochems said,
“Glance connects you to like-minded people attending the same festivals and club nights as you. Discover events near you, attend to see who’s going and anonymously like to break the ice. If someone likes you back, it’s a match and you could go together! Bye bye awkward dates with people you have nothing in common with. Hello event-driven dating.”
Currently, Glance dating app has set its sights on the Dutch/Amsterdam festival market, but you could rest assured that it would soon start making ripples abroad too.
