“God couldn’t be everywhere, so he created mothers,” said Rudyard Kipling, succinctly summing up how important mothers are. Mothers are highly emotional beings who, both think and love from their hearts. They start crying at the slightest provocation. They take care of everybody at home, except themselves. Mothers are very emotional, caring, loving, affectionate, and sentimental beings who sacrifice so much all through their lives, just so we could be happy at every moment of our lives. We owe our lives to them. A mother’s love and affection is so deep and great, that it could be compared to a bottomless well.

Mothers are always there when we need them. Especially for us daughters, our mothers hold a special place in our hearts and lives – a mother, a friend, a mentor, a guide – whatever we are in need of, they fill that role. We can talk about anything with our mothers – be it about our friends, boys, movies, books – you name it and they are knowledgeable and patient enough to reciprocate to our endless ranting. When we stumble and fall, she’s there to help us up and give the push we need to take on life with our heads held high. When we get our hearts broken, she’s there to help pick up the pieces and mend it back. When we’re scared of the unknown, she’s there to give us a rousing pep talk to let us know that everybody is scared, and that only those people cross the finish line, who move past their fear and take charge of their lives.
