One of the Angels from the Charlie’s Angels trio, Cameron Diaz, 42, has apparently gotten hitched to her beau, musician Benji Madden, 35, last evening. The duo had been dating since May 2014, and got engaged just before Christmas. And now, less than 3 weeks later, they are married. The couple couldn’t have started the New Year on a better note.

A rep for the couple confirmed exclusively to People magazine that the two “were married this evening in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.”
The couple also told People, “We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends.”
Although the ceremony itself seems a bit rushed seeing as they got engaged less than 3 weeks ago, the couple took care of everything. Benji and Cameron not only hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner for family and friends at their Beverly Hills abode over the weekend, the 42-year-old bride even had a bachelorette party. According to sources, the actress spent Sunday night at a Los Angeles-are hotel with girlfriends.
On the day of the wedding, i.e., Monday, all the trappings of a wedding ceremony – read flowers, decorations, and various party rental trucks – began descending on the venue, their house in a gated community in Beverly Hills. Among these arrivals were Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, the celebrity wedding planners, who also planned the couple’s intimate rehearsal dinner. These two planners are credited with planning weddings of Cameron’s close friend and fellow Angel, Drew Barrymore, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, and Reese Witherspoon.

As for who were in attendance at the wedding, the guest list included stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and of course, Drew Barrymore, along with Joel Madden, the groom’s twin brother, and his wife Nicole Richie. Even Lionel Richie made an appearance at the ceremony. DJ Samantha Ronson, actress Toni Colette, and Jeffrey Katzenberg were among the high-profile guests in attendance.
Apparently, the ceremony, which lasted just about 15-minutes, took place in the presence of 90-plus guests inside the home, while the reception was held under a tent that was put up on the couple’s property. The tent was decorated with dimly lit candles and white flowers.
Another highlight of the wedding was the bride’s touching toast to her new husband. “I waited because I didn’t want to settle,” said the Charlie’s Angels star, with her signature mega-watt smile in place. “Now I got the best man ever. My special man. He’s mine.”
Not to be left behind, the punk rock musician and groom drew chuckles from the guests when he remarked, “I only asked to be in control of two things: the music and the cake.”
The only apparent hitch to the proceedings came when the couple’s five-year-old ring bearer – Sparrow Madden – the son of Joel and Nicole Richie, dropped the ring and it rolled around. While the guests chuckled, the groom Benji and his best man and brother Joel, got on their knees looking for it.

The reception was a true-blue star-studded event with three-time Grammy nominee Ryan Adams serenading the newlyweds with his solo on his guitar, followed by four-time Grammy winner Lionel Richie’s performance of his 1977 Commodores hit, Easy, on a piano.
People magazine also reported that, “It was a big wedding, but they still managed to make it feel very personal. Only their families and very special friends attended. It all felt very down-to-earth and sweet. Guests arrived smiling and almost seemed giddy. Everyone was excited to be a part of the wedding.”
Cameron Diaz isn’t the first celebrity to pull off a hush-hush wedding far from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. In the previous year alone, celebrities like Brad Pitt, Jeremy Renner, chose to have secret weddings and revealed the fact to the media only later.
