The first remedy on our list is lemon juice. It is very beneficial for age posts, primarily because of the citric acid it is rich in. Citric acid makes lemon juice a bleaching agent.

Lemon juice is also a good natural exfoliator that reduces the occurrence of age spots, thus nipping the problem in the bud.

Begin by cutting a fresh lemon into two pieces. Now squeeze out the juice and dab it onto the age spots directly. Leave the juice on for half an hour. You can even keep it overnight, if you want to. The next morning, wash your face with cold water. You can do this two times a day, and within 2 months’ time, expect to see results.

A word of caution: Do not apply lemon juice and go out in the sun. You should wait until it dries. This is because lemon juice can increase your skin’s sensitivity to UV rays. Also, use only natural lemon juice, and not the bottled juice as it contains chemicals.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

The next natural remedy is apple cider vinegar. The natural alpha hydroxyl in apple cider vinegar makes it an extremely important treatment when it comes to age spots.

Apple cider vinegar also helps against sun spots.

Mix some olive oil to the vinegar. This will protect the skin as vinegar can dry it up. Now apply the mic on the spots and leave it on for about 20 minutes. You will notice that your skin seems soft and smooth immediately.

There will be a little stingy sensation when you apply the vinegar on your skin. If, however, your sensitive skin seems to be reacting, dilute the vinegar with water.

To be sure do a patch test first. Apply the vinegar behind your ear lobes and see how your skin reacts. Then you can decide whether you need to dilute it further or not.
