1. Get clicked as much as you can

No celebrity, be it a model or an actor, takes a single picture of themselves. They strike different poses and get clicked in each of them, so that the best among those pictures would be kept, while the rest are discarded. You should also do the same. Experiment with poses, facial expressions, eyes forward, sideways, etc., and you will see that at least some of the pictures would come out fabulous.

2. Practice your fake laugh

If you get nervous when asked to smile in front of the camera, then it is important that you practice a fake smile and take some selfies in preparation beforehand. Don’t worry about looking artificial, because on the day of your wedding this fake laugh/smile would automatically transform into genuine laughter, and it would look really beautiful.
3. Wear something stylish
Wear clothes that complement your figure and colors that bring out your eyes and skin tone. Don’t wear an outfit with too many prints and designs, as it will be too distracting for people looking at your pictures. Don’t forget to stay away from wrinkled and baggy clothes as they will make you look fat.
4. Groom yourself

For a perfect picture, it is important for you to groom yourself properly. Make sure that your hair is combed and looks neat. If your eyes look red, use some eye drops; it also won’t hurt to use some teeth whitener for a beautiful smile.
5. Wear fake lashes
Fake lashes will enhance your eyes and make you look like a diva in the pictures.
6. Focus on your postures and angles

Elongate your neck and stand straight while you are getting clicked. Do not slouch, ever. You can also turn slightly to help you look more elegant.
7. Look slimmer by just changing the way you stand
Yes, you can look slimmer in front of the camera if you just change your angle! If you stand or sit straight up, the camera will capture more of your body. The trick is to keep your body at a 45-degree angle away from the camera. Put your weight on your back leg, and tuck your out of focus arm behind your back. And voila! You’re set!

Always laugh and smile when you are in front of the camera. Make sure that your tongue is safely tucked behind your teeth. Try to look away from the camera when smiling or expressing yourself. Candid shots come out way better than the forced “say cheese” pictures.
9. Always touch up before the shoot
Before getting clicked, make sure your makeup artist is nearby to make last-minute adjustments in your hair and makeup, as they tend to wear out throughout the event.
10. Use props

Sometimes you just cannot get the right picture despite putting in every effort, and you feel you need something extra to pep it up. This is when you should utilize props, as they make your picture come alive. Be they fake glasses with ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ written in stylized letters or fake mustaches. They give an element of levity to an otherwise-tedious event.
11. Background

Use a suitable background that goes with the dress you are wearing. A good background goes a long way in enhancing the quality of your photographs. So if you have black hair, make sure that your background is not all black; if you are wearing a white outfit, do not use a blank background.
12. Lighting
Make sure you are being clicked in adequate lighting. Never take pictures in direct sunlight with flash; move to a shadier region instead, as soft lines helps to smooth wrinkles.

13. Move around

Don’t make it obvious that you are posing for a photograph because then your body would look unnaturally tense and your pose artificial. Instead, loosen up a bit, move around, shake a leg, and let the photographer click you while you are at it. Trust me, you will feel more comfortable while getting clicked this way.
14. Don’t fret over minute details
If you are genuinely happy about something, your pictures will look good no matter what. So it is important not to be very self-conscious, because then you risk looking really artificial in your photos.
15. Don’t get obsessed with the idea of a perfect picture

If you find flaws in every little thing, you will never be satisfied, and will just end up becoming even more frustrated. Just go with the flow, pose as you wish, and get clicked. The more you fret over your poses, the more artificial your picture will look. Don’t overthink it; instead, focus on your emotions and let them flow in the picture. And then your pictures will look natural and beautiful.
