8. Unlike boyfriends, they feel guilty when they goof up
Your dog will own up to kicking over the potted plant in your balcony. Your cat will hang its head if you find it sitting in a pool of milk. Your boyfriend would just shrug his shoulders and walk off with a noncommittal and almost indifferent ‘sorry.’ And that’s the difference between pets and boyfriends.
9. No meeting the parents

If you have a boyfriend, you would ultimately have to meet his parents. No matter how nice they may be, you have to spend days trying to impress them. Pets are better because no one else is involved – it’s just you and your furry friend for life.

10. Your pets will love your friends – the more the merrier!
Pets love company. They love the attention. And that’s why they will love it when your friends come over. They will be excited and will put their best paw forward, while your boyfriend would moan about how tiring it is to meet new people. Plus, it’s so much easier to introduce your friends to your pets.
11. Pets don’t mind PDA

All pets want is affection – night and day, outside and in. That’s why they won’t mind you cuddling with them and petting them when others are around. In fact, they will crave for more attention. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, would pull faces at the slightest PDA you display, especially when his friends are around.
12. Your pets will never complain about the food you give them

Your bae expects you to be a gourmet chef, serving up sensational meals every time you cook. But your dog will be content with anything you give it. It will lap it up and will look at you with grateful eyes. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, would grumble that the lasagna you spent the entire evening perfecting is not spicy enough.
13. They will never judge you for how much you eat
You can eat a whole pizza by yourself and wash it down with Coke, and your pet won’t even so much as bat an eyelid. As long as it gets its treats, it will be happy to let you have yours. But a boyfriend would give you disapproving looks, snigger, and may never stop teasing you about it.
14. Pets don’t notice if you put on weight

Pets don’t care if you gain a few kilos, because all that matters to them is you. And some food. As long as you love them and they can be near you, they are content. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, would throw in a remark or two in between conversations, which is rude and off-putting.
15. Nor do they notice that you’re getting old
Pets don’t really see wrinkles or any other signs of aging. You will never be too old to have a dog. But when it comes to boyfriends, older gals are scoffed at if they even dare look around for someone to date. And that’s why pets are WAY better than boyfriends – now and for life.
If you have a pet, you really don’t need a boyfriend. Unless you need an extra pair of hands to help move the furniture, that is.
