All the seasons have their own set of fashion battles, and when winter comes, it’s time that you throw on the perfect coat around you! The best part of this ‘coat’ trial is that once you find the right one you will not have to shop around for a long time. The hitch, however, is that it is almost impossible to find the right one (the perfect boyfriend, much?!). But ‘with a little help from’ us, you will be ready to flap about in your flawlessly tailored layers of mohair, cashmere, and angora!
Before we start, I would like to share with you a few basic things about coat-selection.
Do:
- Look for quality
- Keep enough room to allow layering
- Know your body type
- Make sure you have pockets (Without them, a coat is like ‘happy hour’ without any beer!)
Don’t:
- Prioritize fashion over warmth
- Neglect comfort
So, while the snow falls let’s ramp up our look! 😉

The pea coat was traditionally designed for sailors. For the perfect fitting, we suggest you keep your pea coat just below your hip and wear it double-breasted. The feminine version of the vintage pea coat is called Jackie O jacket!

8. The Duster Coat

The duster coat is called so because it had emerged to protect people from dust as they travelled in open carriages. It has resurfaced as a style statement today. The longline shape is what we heart the most about these coats, as they add a perfect blend of androgyny, yet are lightweight that smooths layering.
