Being a couple is blissful? Mmm, no!
Most of the third wheelers out there think that couples are out-and-out annoying. But these guys have absolutely no clue about how being in a new relationship can be so frustrating! They say that the weird sh*t we do makes them want to cringe in shame and horror whenever they log in to Facebook or just walk past a shoddy (read: substandard!) café.
Suck it up, bro! We are too busy dealing with the mess-ups and goof-ups of our new relationship that we couldn’t care to notice! So you better get used to us. But as far as our confusions are concerned, I think that will take some time to sink in!
So here are 14 such maddening things all new couples can relate to!
1. The baby-babu talk!

We are ‘supposed to’ do this though we know,
- Our lover is not our baby
- We are not paedophiles
- Our lover is not a slice of red velvet cake
- We are not hungry
It’s just one of the things you do for love!
2. Making out in all the places they’ve shown in movies!

We don’t give a f*ck about what third wheelers think, but even we have an issue with this! Taking a pew on a park bench with our tongues down each other’s throats isn’t as romantic as it sounds (btw did that sound romantic?!)

3. Obsessive compulsive FB declaration of sentiments

Putting posts and pictures up on Facebook has become a task that we include in our planners for the day. Hours are lost looking for complimenting Pablo Neruda quotes for each pic though unrelated AF!
4. The hashtags!

5. Ditching every other friend for the S.O.

So you think that we can drop friends like hot potato when we hook up with someone new and again call up to make dinner plans when we break up or worse need consolation?
You have no idea how difficult it is to analyse which friends are dumb enough to stay! 😉
6. Those sappy texts!

“Hi Jaan! Wake up to see how the sun is smiling just for you!” Yep, right, the sun just Whatsapped you to tell you that, huh?! But we can’t say this. We need to back it up with a “I want to see your smile and not the sun’s”!
7. Introducing the other to friends

8. Out of depth hand holding

And hugging is a nightmare. Any kind of skin touching can wreak havoc on the nerves. “Should I get a pregnancy test done?” is all that your mindless mind will keep telling you throughout the bike ride home when your bodies touch for the fear of tumbling down the beast!
9. Dummy run different terms of endearment

Koochikoo? Nah! They have already used it in that movie! Boobaliboo? Nah! How about Baby crumbs?
I think I should stick to Pinky only! (Because parents have a monopoly on shaming pet names and you must respect that!)
10. In a relationship or engaged or it’s complicated. WTF is ‘civil partnership even supposed to mean!!!

11. You try to ‘protect’ them from your friends!
Coz you know what they are up to! (Aren’t they my friends after all?)
So, you guys MUST like him but also not like him too much!!
