These eyebrow mistakes are all that stand between us with our ‘not-quite-right’ and perfect eyebrows. Want to get to the other end and feel what that kind of ‘perfection’ feels like sitting right on your forehead? Then, read on and take note- to never repeat these eyebrow mistakes ever:
1. Thinking the brows shall match

Every expert will tell you eyebrows are sisters, not twins! And they are absolutely spot-on. Do not try to match your eyebrows inch by inch as you shall only end up giving yourself thinner and thinner spindly eyebrows.
2. Plucking every day

Every professional shall tell you that it is advisable to let your eyebrows grow to their full capacity and then, go for a plucking session. This shall help you keep them thick and retain you shape.
3. Plucking before a shower

You must always, always pluck your eyebrows after a hot shower or bath. Heat and moisture help in your hairs easily falling out. And we’d all love a li’l bit of that, wouldn’t we?

4. Misjudging the length

The rule of thumb here is to grow an extra two lines of hair below the shape that you have created and then use a pencil to measure where they should start (bridge of the nose) and where they should end (angle the pencil from the bridge of your nose to the end of your brow) to get that perfect length that suits your face shape juts right!
5. Misplacing the arch
Here’s the most common mistake that most of us make. While your arch depends on your face shape, you must also angle a pencil from the bridge of your nose through the iris of your eye to place the exact position for your arch.
6. Plucking too close to the mirror

If you stand too close to the mirror, you may stand the risk of looking only at your brows rather than your whole face and the shape of your brows as they sit on your face! Thus, you may end up plucking a tad more and end up with even thinner and uneven brows. To avoid this faux pas, stand farther from a larger mirror to see your whole face!
7. Doing it when you are down

It is simple- lower threshold for pain, so more ooh-ahh whilst plucking! Why not simply push the appointment for the following week?
8. Coloring-in wrong

If you get your brows tinted or enhance them with makeup- all you need to do is follow this simple mantra- If you’re fair, go for a shade darker than your hair. If you’re dark, use the same color as the lightest part of your hair. No matter what your colorings – never use black.
9. Tweezing above the brow
If you tidy up your brows at home, always, always tweeze the strays below your arch and never above!
10. Going overboard with brow makeup
Less is more here! You don’t want the eyebrows to stand out but simply frame your face effortlessly.
Now go on, pass on the expert knowledge! 😉
